STEP 2: Qualitative Research Methods

STEP 3: Translating about Medicine: General Medical Translation, Healthcare and Health Insurance, Psychology, Wellbeing, Nutrition, Social Aspect of Healthcare, Language Difficulties Related to Disease Prevention and Education, Clinical Protocols, Informed Consents.

STEP 4: The Fundamentals of Interpreting

STEP 5: Five Skills to Succeed: Entering the Labor Market

 

Format: Part-time

Location: Online live instruction

Program completion: 100 hours or 3/4 months (from the start date of the first course). To graduate, complete all courses with a minimum average grade of 70%.

Course work: 100 Instructional hours + additional independent work + five tests to be taken after completing each step.

Course duration: 6–8 hours/week

 

Learning materials: The Professional Interpreter by Milly Golia and additional various resources for each training program.

(The handbook has to be paid separately)

Schedule: Zoom Meetings (once/twice a week) within set deadlines

 

Requirements:

Advanced level of written and spoken English and Spanish.

Spanish Level Test to be taken before the training program starts.

 

Application fee: $75 (non-refundable application fee, added during checkout)

 

Total cost: $1,400 or 5 equal payments of $360
