Are the professional training programs at Take5steps© available for everyone?​

Yes, these three professional training programs© are intended for students (and legal, education, and medical translators and interpreters) who wish to boost their linguistic and translation skills. Take5steps© Professional Training Programs© provide opportunities for students to refine skills, learn new capabilities, and, most often, expand their networks. ​

Remote: Live instruction using web conference technology In-person instruction (only for shorter workshops)​

Are Take5steps© training programs intended for bilingual (English-Spanish) speakers?

Classes will be in English, but the instructional materials and activities will be bilingual. A strong command of spoken and written Spanish and English is highly recommended.​

How long will it take me to complete the Program?

Each program consists of 5 Steps and 15 Units that have a total duration of 100 hours (online live lessons/workshops/classes) & additional 25-45 hours will be independent work.​

When can I start?

Step 1, consisting of 20 hours, begins in October 2023. Classes will resume in January 2024 for the rest of the steps. Fall: October-December 2023 Winter: February-April 2023 Spring: May-July 2023 ​

How to get your certificate of completion?​

When you complete the 5-Step Training Program© and pass the final test, you will receive a certificate of completion, which you can share with your current or potential employer!
